Good morning, friends. I've sent out 21 of these — I can call you that by now, right? Whatever. I love you.

What's more surprising than our newfound intimacy is that I'm just now introducing Vérité to the lineup. In a world where "indie" has completely lost any and all true connection with its mother word iNdEpEnDeNt, Vérité stands out to me as crème de la crème indie.

No time to go into her full story here, but she has recorded and released her music methodically and independently since 2014, slowly carving out a solid career for herself through community-building and innovation (she's messed around with NFTs, walked around parks handing out roses next to a man with a bag over his head, etc).

I really admire her artistry.
